How it is calculated

Price = (unit cost + fixed fee) / (1 − commission rate − target margin). Commission and margin together must be below 100%.

Worked example

A EUR 20 unit cost, EUR 1 fee, 10% commission and 20% margin require a price of EUR 30. The remaining 70% covers the EUR 21 cost and fixed fee.

Before you calculate

Use costs for a single sellable unit. Enter margin as a percentage of the selling price, not as markup on cost. Include only fees that apply to each sale; spreading overhead across units is a separate decision.

Interpreting the result

The result is a pricing threshold under the stated assumptions, not a promise of profitability. Taxes, refunds, tiered fees and demand are not added automatically. Use the same tax basis for every amount.

Use the units shown beside each field. Monetary fields labelled EUR stay in euros; changing language does not exchange currencies. Results are estimates under the stated assumptions.
