How it is calculated
Reorder point = ceiling(average daily demand × lead time in days + safety stock).
Worked example
Demand of eight units per day over a seven-day lead time plus twenty safety-stock units gives a reorder point of 76 units.
Before you calculate
Use comparable days for average demand and delivery lead time. Enter safety stock in units, not as a percentage. This reserve must come from your inventory policy and evidence; the calculator does not infer a statistical service level.
Interpreting the result
The result is an ordering threshold, not the quantity to purchase. Define whether you compare it with physical stock or inventory position including pending orders and commitments. Seasonality and variable delivery times are not modelled.
Use the units shown beside each field. Monetary fields labelled EUR stay in euros; changing language does not exchange currencies. Results are estimates under the stated assumptions.
